And with this page, I begin my newest project; Epic Mickey: Darker Days!
You're probably thinking "ANOTHER Epic Mickey comic!? There are enough of those already!!" Well, this comic is not like other comic because of one thing: This comic is based mostly on the EARLIER ideas for the videogame (but with a few elements from the videogame and other minor details to fill in the gaps).
I know this first page might not seem like much. The beginning is a bit slow, so I'm not putting much effort here....that, and the fact that I'm not very good at shading, and I suck at drawing humans (darn it, Yen Sid!). But I swear that once more characters get introduced and we get deeper into the plot, things will get better, I promise.
I've decided to make the pages by hand since I'm fairly new to digital drawings, and my hand tends to shake and make wriggly lines. I could spend hours working on a single page in Photoshop and it still wouldn't look good. Parts with dialogue will be inked to make them easier to read, however, and few things will be colored to add a little more effect (like Paint and Thinner to avoid confusion, for example).
Finally, I want to dedicate this comic to Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. Their dream made the world such a better place. And I also want to thank
, who inspired me with her own EM comic and who has given me a few ideas for the comic in the future.
